Teenager Racks Up £1,158 Phone Bill Voting 2,316 Times For Emmerdale Actress To Win I’m A Celebrity

Teenager Racks Up £1,158 Phone Bill Voting 2,316 Times For Emmerdale Actress To Win I’m A Celebrity

A teenager has racked up a £1,158 phone bill after she kept on voting to keep Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The teen called Nicole Hassall phoned more thank 2,000 times to keep the actress in the show much to the horror of her mother Eileen.

Eileen has now been forced to use £250 earmarked for Nicole’s Christmas presents to pay off the charges.

her mother said that network provider Orange never contacted the family until Saturday ti tell them how much the bills where and that she had made so many calls to the show.

To call the show to vote for a celeb cot 50p each time so as you can see it very expensive to call in.

Mrs Hassall recieved a text message to tell her that her phone bill was £350 then to be followed with another message of £621. Eileen was clearly shocked by the price of her phone bill so she decided to gives them a call and was very shocked to hear what they said.

When she phone Orange they told her that the actual price of the phone bill was £1,158.

Her mother said:

‘It just kept going up and up. She had no idea what she was doing.

‘Her phone said she still had minutes and texts left.

‘I’m questioning that she could have made that many calls.

‘We watched the show together and then went to bed.

‘I didn’t think anything of it until three days later we got this text saying my bill was higher than normal.

‘It’s absolutely disgusting that Orange didn’t let me know what was happening.

‘It’s completely out of the ordinary. She’s never done this before.

‘There’s no way I’ll be able to pay this.’

Nicole said:

‘I did vote but I really wanted Lucy or Kian from Westlife to win.

‘I had no idea the bill would be this much.

‘I’m really upset.’

A spokesman from Orange have said the following:

We sympathise with Ms Hassall and have offered a 50 per cent reduction on her bill as a gesture of goodwill.

‘To help customers avoid high charges from voting lines we terminated each of the calls after six seconds.

‘However, as the customer in this instance continued to call the number for several hours additional charges were incurred.’

ITV have released the following statement:

‘In the voting terms and conditions it says voters should only vote with the bill payer’s permission. We are happy to explore this issue if we are provided with more information.’

Well one thing we can say she must be a big fan of the Emmerdale actress.

Lucy Pargeter Gets Voted Off I’m A Celebrity Leaving Kian Egan And David Emanuel In The Final

Lucy Pargeter Gets Voted Off I’m A Celebrity Leaving Kian Egan and David Emanuel In The Final

Last night Lucy Pargeter was voted off  I’m A Celebrity leaving Kian Egan and David Emanuel to fight it out to win in the final tomorrow.

The Emmerdale actress, has shown her feisty side in the jungle and she doesn’t take any crap from no one.

Talking after leaving the jungle Lucy, said:

‘I’m so happy right now’,

Talking about her experience Pargeter said:

‘ It was mentally hard, physically fine but I had a few hard days in there dealing with other people.’

Then shows host Ant and Dec asked Lucy about how she felt about Amy Willerton and the smuggled items she had in her bag.

She said:

‘Going into this was all about teamwork. We’re going in as team and if one person doesn’t do that it’s going to pee me off.’

‘That’s a really disrespectful thing for the group. She’s an absolute beauty but if anyone’s not part of a team that makes me mad.’

We will now have to wait and see who wins the show tonight.
