Cilla Black To Be Awarded BAFTA Award For Outstanding Contribution To Entertainment

She’s been on our scenes for years and years now.

But all that work in showbiz has payed off because for Cilla Black because she is set to receive a BAFTA award for outstanding contribution to entertainment!

Over the years the 70-year-old has hosted popular shows like Surprise Surprise and Blind Date and has had a very successful career.

Other people to have received this award include Simon CowellJon SnowMurray Walker and Jeremy Paxman.

Talking about the award Cilla said:

‘I am thrilled to be honoured with this award – I am totally delighted.

‘I’ve been very fortunate to have a long and full career in television and this means the world to me.’

She will collect her award at the Arqiva British Academy Television Awards – on May 18 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, in London and it will also be broadcast by BBC1.
