Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson has denied saying n***** in some BBC unaired footage even though he was caught on camera saying it.
In the clip Jeremy says:
‘eeny, meeny, miny, mo’ before apparently muttering ‘catch a n***** by his toe’.
This news comes just weeks after Jeremy was accused of being racist by referring to a ‘slope’ on a bridge in an episode filmed in Thailand.
Taking to his Twitter account Clarkson tweeted:
I did not use the n word. Never use it. The Mirror has gone way too far this time.
A legal expert, solicitor Lucy Scott Moncrief said:
‘If it had been brought to the attention of the police they would have considered whether an offence had taken place and whether it was in the public interest to prosecute,’
‘All employers and programme makers have policies on discrimination and I would have thought that this kind of language would have been a breach of those and could have led to disciplinary action.’
The BBC have told sources that they want to establish the facts before commenting and Clarkson’s agent refused to comment on the allagations.
