American One Direction Say ‘We won’t let Simon Cowell intimidate us’
The american One Direction have spoken to BBC`S newsbeat and said that they will not step back and let the UK One Direction have their name!
The five boys are suing the music mogul for $1 million (£630,000) in damages, and a share of the British group’s profits, claiming trademark infringement.
Sean from the band said:
‘He [Simon Cowell] is obviously a very smart man, but we are not intimidated,’
‘The law isn’t a popularity contest. Our name has been infringed.’
He also said that the band has received death threats and hate mail from the UK band’s fans over the drama 99 per cent from British followers of the band.
In court documents, filed on Monday in California Central District Court, the American band says it formed in 2009 – a year before Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson had even met.
The U.S. group also say it beat their British counterparts to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, filing a trademark application before them.

A few weeks back Beyonce and Jay-Z filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect their month-old daughter’s name.
But why would they get her named Trademarked????
ere’s the crazyass truth: parents got the idea from other people making the attempt to get a trademark on THEIR baby’s name! Fashion designerJoseph Mbeh, who submitted an application to trademark “Blue Ivy Carter NYC” — just four days after the baby was born! And he’s not the only one.
The trademark office denied Mbeh and other filings saying the name belonged to a “very famous infant” and consumers would be tricked the product would be affiliated with famous tot. Considering she can’t talk it’s really tough to get her to endorse anything
But now we see the name Trademarked we hope to see
Blue Ivy line of baby carriages, baby cosmetics, and baby stilettos sometime later this year.

The First Ever Photo Of Blue Ivy Carter Released Here
On Friday new mum and dad Beyoncé and Jay-Z started up a new Tumblr to show off there new cute little baby called Blue Ivy Carter.
They said on the blog:
“We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives,” read a hand-written message included on the site. The note was signed “The Carter Family”.
