Steven Tyler Talks Idol And Simon Cowell!
Steven Tyler has recently talked about American Idol and Simon Cowel.
Apparently Fox pressured him to become the a-hole judge. The scathing Simon Cowell fill-in, if you will.
Steven prefers a gentler approach. He revealed:
“The show’s about kids and what you do to nurture their talent. They wanted me to take the p**s out of the kids and I don’t have that in me. That’s not what I’m about. That’s more about that other guy [Simon]. Not me.”
Steven knows there are worse jobs than being an Idol judge, though.
He admits:
“It was something to do while the storm blew by, to be honest… not my cup of tea. I loved it and hated it. It was a great job, I sat next to J.Lo and I made a ton of money. It was a moment in life and it became larger than life.”

According to sources close to production, who are pretty much confirming what we all already knew to be true – while J. Lo was attempting to re-negotiate her contract for a pay bump from $15 to $17 million for a third year on the reality competition, she was FLOORED when the network did not make a counter-offer and instead chose to let her go!
And poor Steven didn’t even get that far – his just didn’t have his option picked up for another season!
Meanwhile, the sole judge standing (for now, anyway) Randy Jacksonsays:
“Steven and Jennifer are truly two of the most talented and consummate professionals I’ve worked with. I was friends with them before we hopped on this crazy journey together and I have no doubt our friendships will continue long after. I will lovethem for life.”
Jennifer Lopez Is Sad About Steven Tyler Quitting American Idol!
As some of you might know that Steven Tyler announced that he was leaving the American Idol and then today we found out that Jennifer Lopez was leaving too!!
But it seems like poor Jennifer is sad about Steven leaving the show Steven Tyler recently made the surprising, definitive statement that he is kissing the reality show goodbye to return to his first musical love, Aerosmith.
And Jenny from the block is a sad, bodacious bunny.
The luscious latina shared following the announcement:
“I can’t even imagine anyone else there right now because I’ve just spent two years sitting next to him. I love Steven, and we became close during that time. We were a great support for each other, on an adventure that neither one of us knew what it was going to be. So it’s hard to hear that he won’t be doing it.”
This is just unreal two of the biggest parts of the show just leaving like that!
