Nick Grimshaw Loses 1 MILLION Radio Listeners!
Nick Grimshaw has only been hosting the Radio 1 Breakfast show for just over a year now but it look’s like the public and not turning in!
It’s been reported today that he has lost nearly 1 million listeners!
Nick took over the show from Chris Moyles and it’s not just that he has lost nearly 1 million views thae ratings are at their lowest in 10 years!
Nick has four million less views than Radio 2′s Breakfast Show hosted by Chris Evans which is the biggest gap between ratings the station has ever recorded.
Helen Boaden, director of BBC radio said the following:
“The brand new schedule continues to bed in at Radio 1 and we remain confident that it will emerge strongly from a period of transition. Radio 1 is in good health – as clearly demosntrated by five golds at this week’s Sony Radio Academy Awards.”
Nick also failed to win a award at the Radio 4′s Today Show.
Robbie Williams Slams Nick Grimshaw For Not Playing His Music On Air Calls Him A B******
Robbie Williams has slammed Radio 1 Breakfast host Nick Grimshaw for now playing his music on air.
The Candy singer called nick a a ‘b******’ as he thinks that Nick and the Radio 1 staff think he’s too ‘fat and old’ as he talked at last night’s Sony Radio Awards.
Robbie said:
“I did the Brits and started singing, ‘Hey-ho, here we go’ to a bunch of industry people and they were all just like, ‘F*** off, you’re fat and you’re old.
“And Radio 1 don’t play you no more – you’re fat and you’re old’.”
“Isn’t that right Nick, you b******?”
But the beef with Radio 1 did not stoop there as during Williams’ performance of Candy he shouted:
“That’s Candy. How four-year-old do you want it, Radio 1?”
Nick Grimshaw Dyes Hair Pink And Yellow As His Radio Station Raises More Than £261,000 for Comic Relief
Radio 1 breakfast host Nick Grimshaw said that if his radio station raised so much for Comic Relief he would dye his hair.
Keeping to his promise the radio show raised over what they wanted so as you can see in the photo above Nick has dyed his hair.
Nick is also going to be on the fundraising show tonight on BBC to try and raise more money. Grimmy is not the only celeb to have had pink hair the last few months as Helen Mirren, Little Mix‘s Perrie Edwards, Fearne Cotton, former X Factor contestant Amelia Lily, Glee star Dianna Agron and the original, Pink, have all experimented with the shade in recent months.
Phillip Schofield Catches Michelle Keegan Out As She Say’s ‘Hamburger’ What Nick Grimshaw Dared Her To On This Morning
Yesterday on This Morning Michelle Keegan was on the show to talk about her role in Coronation Street but she also had to do something else.
Before she was on the show she was on Radio 1 with Nick Grimshaw and he dared her to say ‘hamburger’ live on the ITV show but little did Michelle know show’s host Philip Schofiled was listening to radio 1 and knew what she was doing.
Talking about her pregnancy role in Corrie Keegan said:
‘I’m five and a half months it looks like I’ve eaten too many hamburgers.
‘Schofield then replied saying:
‘Don’t think I don’t know what you just did there,’ before going on to explain about the dare set by the Radio DJ.
‘You’re supposed to not get spotted’.
Fearne Cotton Thinks Lily Allen Doesn’t Like Her
Fearne Cotton has said that she thinks Lily Allen doesn’t like her.
When the TV presenter was on Radio 1 today Breakfast Show host Nick Grimshaw asked Fearn today:
“I thought it was good – Lily Allen seemed like she was in a good mood. She doesn’t like me, but…” Cotton said.
The Nick said:
“Why doesn’t she like you?”
Cotton replied:
“I dunno. Literally never spoke to her, but she has a pop at me. “
Grimshaw countered:
“I think since she’s had a baby, she’s a changed woman.”
Then Cotton replied:
“Really? I would love that to be proved. I’ve got no beef with her at all. I’ve met her like, once, but she doesn’t like. I literally do not know why.”
Nick then said:
”She has a problem with everyone. That’s part of her charm.”
The radio presenter then said:
“That’s fine then! If that’s what it is, that’s cool by me.”
Grimshaw said:
“I’ve known her for about five years and it’s touch and go if I get a reply off her on a text!”
Cotton continued:
“She sounded in a really good mood, and I thought ‘Aw, it sounds like she’s having a really nice time with you’.”
