Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Finalist Matt Page Accidentally ‘Killed Former Show Partner’
Hes the one that the judges loved on Britain’s Got Talent.
Matt Page, who is the frontman for dance group Area 51, accidentally plunged a jagged sword into his friend and co–performer Neil James 17 years ago.
Neil’s family broke down when they saw Matt performing on BGT to a national televised audience with the act the pair had begun many years ago.
daughter Sian, 23 spoke to The Sun and said:
‘The tragedy is with us every day of our lives. Just seeing Matt’s face on the TV brings it all back.
‘It’s a kick in the face for me, it’s opened old wounds.’
Matt kept the secret away from the ritain’s Got Talent show.
Widow Maureen, 59, said she was deeply upset at seeing the performance since she says her husband will never have that same opportunity – to perform to stars like Simon Cowell.
She has not seen Matt since Neil died in the accident, describing him as ‘ambitious’ and ‘stupid’ and that he never even offered the family an apology for what happened.
Maureen lives with Sian and sons Leon, 21 and son Connor, 21, in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
