On Monday night of this week  Alanis Morissette have us a little preview of her  new album, Havoc and Bright Lights, to only a few  hundred of her closest friends and industry insiders.

After the song had played she gave the crowed a little Q&A and that’s when she told them about the inspirations and her song writing process.

The songs on the new album are not just about one person. She claims the song, which is about a total fame-whore, is “a composite” of many people, including herself!

After a few chat sessions later she said:

“This is a great time to be alive as a woman, especially an alpha woman. Artists are social activists, whether we want to be or not. I think parenting is the biggest activism there is on the planet.”

Shes came such a long way over the years.
