One Direction beat the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen, Gotye, The Lumineers, and PSY at the Billboard Music Awards as they won Top New Artist.
The boys where unable to attend the award show as they where performing in Verona.
It was not just one award as they took home another two awards including Top Pop Artist, Top Duo/Group!

Adele’s latest album 21 is still doing well with sales.
It’s been reported today that the album has been named the most sold for the last two years.
In 2012 the album sold more than 5.82 million digital and physical copies of 21 and in 2012 it sold more than 4.41 million copies.
