George Michael has cancelled his tour in Australia after he announced he is suffering with ‘major anxiety’!
The singer has said that he found it really hard recovering from his near death illness last year.
Michael is going to start more treatment to help him cope with the mental issues caused by the after effects of his illness. George will bring his tour to London on 17th October 2012.
A statemnt has been issued by entertainment promoter Dainty Group yesterday saying that George canceling his Australia tour ‘breaks my heart’.
‘I have tried in vain to work my way through the trauma that the doctors who saved my life warned me I would experience.
‘They recommended complete rest and the type of post-traumatic counseling which is available in cases like mine but I’m afraid I believed (wrongly) that making music and getting out there to perform for the audiences that bring me such joy would be therapy enough in itself.’
‘Although I was right to believe that the shows would bring me great happiness and that my voice would recover completely (I truly think that some of my recent performances have been my best ever) I was wrong to think I could work my way through the major anxiety that has plagued me since I left Austria last December,’
Michael was due to perform in Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Hunter Valley.
Its all about to kick off over here in London with the Olympics but its looking lke The Spice Girls are going to be joining in too.
If you wanna see The Spice Girls you gotta get with the London 2012 closing ceremony this August 12!
The five-part musical rocket ship that’s fueled by girl power is slated to perform two classic hits, Wannabe and some mystery number…
Ooo! Perhaps it’ll be some new Olympic-inspired tune! Or a preview of upcoming Spice-infused musical Viva Forever?
George Michael, The Who, and Jessie J are also scheduled to perform at the closing ceremonies, so it’s obviously going to be QUITE the epic occasion.
Madonna has been in London as she was performing in the capital and she was partying Tuesday night at her Mayfair home and neighbors called the police.
A source said:
“It went on until quarter past two. It was all out in the garden – it woke me up. She is a pain. When officers arrived, they could clearly hear music and shouting. In their opinion it was unreasonable on a weekday evening so they served a noise abatement notice on the owner of the house. As soon as the notice was received, the volume was turned down and there were no further complaints.”
Gad to know its all OK now.
Adele was surpost to perform with George Michael for a rousing tribute concert way back in the day for Amy Winehouse, but it never happened because the Rolling in the Deep singer was too grief-stricken!!!
George recently spoke to a British radio station about the missed opportunity:.
“We communicated by email… and initially what I wanted was for us to sing Love Is A Losing Game by Amy Winehouse at the Elizabeth Taylor tribute I did… She was basically telling me she couldn’t even… she tried to put one of [Winehouse's] songs in her own set and she couldn’t even get through it. They’re obviously musical goddesses but I think the tragedy would have been too much for her.”
George also revealed that he really hopes to cut a track or two with Adele after she gives birth.
Kate Moss shows off some sexiness in George Michael`s new music video.
We have not had any music for George for ages and its such a good tune!
George’s etheral music video for his brand spankin’ new, electro-dancy pop number White Light has JUST debuted, and it’s chock-full of near-death experiences and TONS of animal imagery.
Watch it above and tell us what you think of it.
This is so good to hear that George Michael is touring again!
He has said that he is ready to go and he has rescheduled his Symphonica tour. George thought the perfect first stop would be Vienna, the city where his life was saved.
Tickets will be honored at the new shows and more tour dates have been added so we get more George Michael!
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you first to the doctors and nurses who saved my life and took such great care of me and to all my fans, family and friends for their love and support. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone.
We are really lookign forward to seeing him tour again and its also good to see that he is back to normal after his illness!
