Dancing On Ice Coming To An End Next Year!
It’s been on our screens for nine years now but it looks like it time to end!
Today Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean appeared on Daybreak to announced that Dancing On Ice will be coming to a end after next years series.
The 2014 series will also mark k the 30th anniversary of the pair’s Bolero routine,that they first performed at the 1984 Olympics.
Dean talked about the show saying:
‘Next year is going to be the final Dancing On Ice. It has come full circle for us.
‘It’s 30 years next year since we performed in Bolero on February 14th, Valentine’s Day, and we just thought it’s full circle.
‘We’ve had this wonderful experience and we just wanted to finish at the top of our game, and the show to be on top of its game.’
‘We’re not going to hang up our skates but we are going to slow them down. I think also because it’s been 30 years, it will also be our last Bolero.’
Talking to shows host Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones this morning Jayne then added:
‘Dancing On Ice has been absolutely fantastic for us. At the point that the show came around, we had thought we were going to retire, then here we were, able to tour again in front of huge audiences, so it’s been incredible.’
The ratings for the show where at a all time low last years so this could have something to do with the show being axed!

The girls might be whole again but one thing that is not is their wardrobe!
Kerry Katona, Liz McClarnon and Natasha Hamilton appeard on Daybreak this morning and their wardrobe failed to show up forcing Kerry to wear Kate Gaeeaway‘s blue jump suite that she wore in 2010.
but that was not it as the girls had to wear Lorrain Kelly‘ shoes too.
Katona really did not seem unhappy about the outfit in the sliteiest as she said:
‘It’s our personalities – bright and bubbly…Thanks Kate, we’re big fans and thank you to all the wardrobe here.’
Natasha said to Daybreak host’s Lorrain Kelly and Aled Jones:
‘It wasn’t our fault, there was a miscommunication.’
The liz butted in and said:
‘They went to Sheffield for the start of the tour.’
Kate saw the girls and tweeted:
‘@NatashaOfficial I am beyond honoured ! Couldn’t believe it when I saw you all this morning – damn you made them look good!!!’
Lorraine Kelly Talks About Daybreak’s Falling Ratings
She’s been waking up the nation for years now but Daybreak‘s Lorraine Kelly has admitted that the breakfast show has a ‘long way to go’ after it reportedly lost 100,000 viewers last year.
Talking to Star Magazine the Scottish presenter said:’
We still have a long way to go but we’re heading in the right direction.’
‘We’re getting there but it won’t change over night. It’ll be a year before we can fully turn it around,’ the presenter added, staying positive about the future.
‘My 8.30am show is up year-on-year, and from 7.30 onwards, it’s better than it’s ever been,’ said the much-loved star.
‘There was too much change too soon,’ said Lorraine, discussing the switch from GMTV to Daybreak in 2010. ‘People like familiarity. I was still l there at 8.30am but everything else changed.’
A lot of people have said that they liked GMTV better than Daybreak and we have to say we agree.

Talking on Daybreak yesterday the teen said that he get’s girls propose to him over the social networking site Twitter and get’s asked for autographs.
Jacob has over 11,000 followers on Twitter and also talked about how he did not even know who Harry Styles was:
‘People always ask for pictures with me on the street and on Twitter I’ve got a lot marriage proposals.’
‘I went to knock for my friend before school and One Direction were on TV and my friends mum looked at One Direction and then she looked at me and said I looked like him.
‘I don’t think I looked that much like him but she said I did and from there people have just said I do.’

He said:
I just fancied it for the day, I dunno!
