Shakira Talks About Angelina Jolie’s Decision To Announce Her Surgery!
Lots of celebrity have been talking about Angelina Jolie over the last few days after she announced that she had a double mastectomy but one person who has just showed her love is Shakira.
The singer said:
“I think she’s such a smart woman and what she’s doing is inspiring so many women out there to make educated decisions, and I commend her for that.”
The support for Jolie has been overwhelming as she has trended on Twitter for the last two days with people showing their support for the actress.
Angelina Jolie Went Back To Work Just FOUR Days After Her Surgery!
Angelina Jolie is a hard worker and she’s not going to let her surgery keep her down!
Its been reported that the actress went back to work on filming her new film just FOUR days after he operation to remove both of her breasts due to having a 85% chance of getting breast cancer.
Dr. Kristi Funk of the Pink Lotus Breast Center talked about her medical journey in hopes of raising awareness for other women that might find themselves in her situation in the future.
This is what he had to say:
“To a large extent, I believe recovery reflects expectation. Angelina expected to feel well, to be active. On Monday, the pathology returned and I called Angelina to confirm our biggest hope: all of the breast tissue was benign. On day four after her mastectomies, I was pleased to find her not only in good spirits with bountiful energy, but with two walls in her house covered with freshly assembled storyboards for the next project she is directing. All the while she spoke, six drains dangled from her chest, three on each side, fastened to an elastic belt around her waist.”
Angelina Jolie’s Dad Found Out About His Daughters Double Mastectomy Online!
Angelina Jolie told the world yesterday that she had undergone a double mastectomy after finding out she had an increased risk of breast cancer.
But one person who had to find out with the whole world is Angelina’s father Jon Voight.
The actress never let her father know about the operation that she underwent but we have no clue why.
He said:
“My love and admiration for my daughter can’t be explained in words. I saw her two days ago with my son Jamie. We all got together for his birthday, with her and Brad. But I didn’t know. It wasn’t obvious at all.”
“I found out this morning. I was as surprised as anyone and deeply moved by the way she’s handled this. She’s a very extraordinary person, the way she examined it and what she shared.”
Jon went on in saying that he ’understands’ why she decided to have kept the news private until now as he said:
“I completely understand. I want the focus to be on the inspiration. She just explained to me and educated me on this stuff.”
“Having witnessed this decision first-hand, I find Angies choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic. I thank our medical team for their care and focus. All I want is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family.”
Brad Pitt’s Mum Is Really Proud Of Angelina Jolie
With the world showing their support of Angelina Jolie after she announced that she had a double mastectomy one person who is very proud is Brad Pitt’s mum Jane Pitt.
This is what she had to say:
“We’re so very proud of Angie. This means so much to our family especially our grandchildren. We love her dearly.”
Angelina’s brother, James is just as proud as Jane as he said:
“Like our mother [Marcheline Bertrand, who lost her battle to ovarian cancer in 2007] always put her children first, I am so grateful to be her brother.”
Angelina has been trending on Twitter for two days solid now with loads of support from members of the public showing their support.

Angelina Jolie telling the world the news about her double mastectomy has made women feel like it’s ok to come forward and tell people about their breast cancer just like CNN news correspondent Zoraida Sambolin.
The host talked about her her own struggle with breast cancer and plans for a double mastectomy on the national morning show.
This is what she said:
“For a while I have been struggling because I was diagnosed with breast cancer about three weeks ago and I was trying to figure out how do I share this story, how do I tell the viewers that I’m going to be gone for a while, because I have chosen to have a double mastectomy. Angelina Jolie’s story really hit home.”
The host has not been tested for the BRCA1 but we think they will very soon!
Brad Pitt Responds About Angelina Jolie’s Double Mastectomy
We told you this morning about Angelina Jolie‘s decision to have a double mastectomy after she found out that she has a high chance of getting breast cancer.
Now her husband Brad Pitt has spoke out about her decision:
“Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie’s choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic. I thank our medical team for their care and focus. All I want for is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family.”
It was clear that it was not easy making that decision but it look like her family are supporting her 100%.
