Emma Willis Confirmed As The New Big Brother Presenter On Channel 5
Last month we told you that there was rumours that Emma Willis was taking over the presenting role on Big Brother this year but now it has been confirmed!
Channel 5 confirmed the news on Facebook saying that she will be taking over from Brian Dowling who has hated the show for the last 3 years.
Emma will host both Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother as she has hosted the after show Big Brother’s Bit on the Side since 2010.
Emma has commented about getting the new job saying:
“I am thrilled to have been offered this job. I’m a fan first and foremost so to be able to front the show is going to be amazing. Roll on the summer!”
Direction of the show Ben Frow has said:
“Emma is a natural on screen, she’s made the spin off show her own and now the time is totally right for her to step up. I know she’ll take Big Brother to the next level and I can’t wait to see her dealing with the housemates both famous and soon to be famous. I’d also like to thank Brian Dowling for doing such a sterling job over the last two years. He’s been a big part of the success of the show and I wish him the very best. ”
Big Brother’s Host Brian Dowling To Be Axed And Replaced By Emma Willis
Big Brother host and former host mate Brian Dowling has always talked about how much he loves hosting the show but now it seem’s like he has lost his job.
Emma Willis is to take Brian’s place to host the main show as at the moment she host the bit on the side programme.
Bosses are understood to want her on board the main show in a bid to inject some glamour into the franchise and recapture the buzz of the Davina McCall years on Channel 4.
Emma is set to be confirmed by show bosses with in the next two weeks weather she officially has the job.
A insider has said:
“Brian has been a great host but Emma is seen by channel chiefs as a true successor to Davina. They’re talking to her now about taking over the role from the summer.
“Like Davina when she hosted the show, Emma’s young, a mum of two, and very glamorous.
“The audience love her on BBBOTS and execs want to capitalise on that.
“She’s thinking it over but it’s a great opportunity and she would be mad to turn it down.”
In Willis excepts the job channel 5 bosses will have to compensate Brian, who is understood to be contracted for the next two runs — the main series shown over the summer and the subsequent Celebrity show.
Paula Hamilton Found Guilty And Fined £1,000 For Assaulting Police Officer With A SUNFLOWER!!
Model and former Big Brother housemate Paula Hamilton has been found guilty and fined £1,000 for assaulting a police officer with a sunflower!
Paula has been convicted of punching an officer and left the court ranting and raving.
She had drunk a bottle of wine before she tore the head off a sunflower and attacked the officer who had been called to her home after reports that she was threatening to kill herself.
Hamilton has denied the assault and claimed she had been trying to give five policeman called to her home the distinctive sunflower as an apologetic gift.
Outside of the court Paula said:
‘I think it’s very sad that if I was Miss Bridget Jones, lying on the sofa drinking wine, that would be okay. But because I’m an eccentric and I have a different lifestyle, I’m treated like this,’ she said.
‘I had a drink, a bottle of wine like Bridget Jones.
‘My crime today is that I have an alternative lifestyle where all people are robots, everyone is bullied at school and everyone has their tiny bit of expertise.
‘I have many facets to my relationship with myself. I’m a published author twice, I’m an accomplished actress and a model.
‘But once the newspapers and the court system get you, that’s it.
‘I’m very pro-UK. I’m pro-police but I’m now beginning to wonder how many days has the court wasted on me giving a flower to a policeman.’
Magistrates rejected Miss Hamilton’s version of events today as they said:
‘We find that the dependent did strike Pc Matheson. We have reached this conclusion because all three police constables gave evidence that the defendent turned and moved forward towards Pc Matheson,” said presiding magistrates Ken Birkby.
‘She pulled her arm forwards, striking him on her upper chest.
‘PC Matheson was certain he was punched. The other two police constables saw the blow and backward movement of Pc Matheson.
‘The defendant’s evidence was completely at odds with the three prosecution witnesses.
‘She was highly emotional, swearing and admitted drinking heavily.’
Rylan Clark Says ‘I’ll Sue Heidi And Spencer Over Bullying Claims’
Rylan Clark has spoken out about his fellow housemates in the Big Brother house Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt AKA Speidi and said that he is going to sue the husband and wife for bullying him in the house.
This morning Rylan was doing press interviews and this is what he had to say to Digital Spy:
“I think that’s a load of b*llocks. If that’s really how they feel then ‘bully’ means a different term in f**king America. I’ve never met two people who have made me feel so uncomfortable in my life.
“If anything when they went off to do the Big Blogger task and why I got so enraged was because even after Fight Night, they made me doubt myself and believe I’d done something genuinely wrong. There was no harm in what I said, I still apologise for what I said, but if they’re going to say I’m a bully, if they try to play that card, I’ll sue the f**k out of them.”
When asked about weather Heidi and Spencer had preferential treatment in the hosue he said:
“I wouldn’t say they had special treatment, but there were days when they’d spend all day in bed and when I closed my eyes on the f**king couch an alarm would go off.
“But at the end of the day, we give good telly. They’re just boring. All they can do it have a row. Unless they’re wound up and ready for a row, bosses must have thought, f**k it, let them sleep.”
Rylan also admitted that he was ‘over the moon’ to walk out of the house the winner as it has been his dream for years.
Rylan Clark Wins Celebrity Big Brother 2013
Even the week before Rylan Clark entered the Big Brother house he was the favour to win but it looks like that was all true as last night Rylan was crowed the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2013!
It was another X Factor moment as Clark broke down in tears when the news was announced by shows host Brian Dowling.
Rylan beat who was voted the worst house mates in the history of the show Heidi Montage and Spencer Pratt aka Spidei.
In the interview after the news was broken to the X Factor star he said:
Honestly, through the past year, people have been picking up the phone for me and I really appreciate it.’They (the public) hated me three months ago. I’ve been the biggest fan of Big Brother.’
Then when he was asked about Spidei he said:
‘I don’t have any ties to Heidi and Spencer, but they’re a genuine couple. I wish them the best of luck in life. They are absolutely made for each other.
Rylan Clark Sneaks Out Of The Big Brother House To Go To The X Factor Tour Rehearsals
X Factor’s Rylan Clark is currently in the Big Brother house and has been for the last three weeks but it looks like he has been sneaking out!
Ex housemate Gillian Taylforth who was voted out of the show on Friday night has spoke out about the show ans said that Big Brother has been letting Rylan attend the X Factor rehearsals and wanted to keep it hush hush from the viewers.
This is what Gillian had to say:
‘Rylan went out to do X Factor rehearsals.
‘Obviously he wasn’t allowed to talk about it, but when he came back he’d just ask somebody the time very quickly like his driver, and we said to him when he’d get in, ‘what’s the time?”
Also talking to The Wright Stuff’s ‘Man with the Mic’ Eric Johnson Taylforth reviled that Rylan had been exiting the house every Sunday for rehearsals.
He tweeted:
‘Recently evicted housemate just told me Rylan has been leaving the CBB house for X Factor tour rehearsals EVERY SUNDAY. Ooops!’
But this has not gone down well with fans of the show as former Big Brother contestant Narinder Kaur tweeted:
‘IF its true that £rylan has been leaving the BB house for xfctor rehearsals then there’s NO WAY he deserves to win! That’s the whole point!!’ (sic)
‘Ch 5 have confirmed that Rylan HAS been leavin the house!! BANG out of order & against the no.1 rule of BB! Rylan NOT to win!! Get him out!’
