She had made some great songs over the years including
one notably being her duet with Barbra Streisand. The two songbirds came together in 1979 to record the empowering hit record, No More Tears (Enough Is Enough).
In an official statement, Streisand says:
“I was shocked to hear about Donna. She was so vital the last time I saw her a few months ago. I loved doing the duet with her. She had an amazing voice and was so talented. It’s so sad.”
This is so sad!!
It has been reported that Barbra Streisand recently signed a $30 million contract with Sony…and the label has BIG plans for the 70 year old legend!
Its the sort of same thing that Tony Bennett did when he mad that duets album back in 2011, featuring collaborations with artists like the late Amy Winehouse,Mariah Carey and Carrie Underwood?
A report reveals:
Streisand has been approached by label execs to record analbum of duets with young, hip artists, including Adele andRihanna. Industry sources say the move would aim to [boost] Babs’ appeal with more youthful record buyers beyond core Streisand fans.
This really sounds like something that should happen.
But what song would they choose??
This is such a good idea we love it!!
