Katy Perry Writing Wide Awake Heelped Katy Perry Evolve From Caterpillar To Butterfly
Katy Perry has recenly talked in a interview with MTV taht will be on our TV screens on Tuesday, She talked about how Part of Me, her divorce, and her song writing process in general.
She even reveals that Wide Awake was just a Teenage Dreamafterthought!!
The studio needed a track for the film’s closing credits and KP just sat down and hashed out the perfect tune!!
She explains:
“I love this song so much… It was a song that I hadn’t written for Teenage Dream. I was doing this movie and they asked me if I wanted to write an end-title song for the movie and I was like, ‘I know exactly what I want to say.’ I was really kind of dying to write another song at that point. I didn’t want to wait until I did a whole new record, and it’s kind of the perfect last word of me at this moment.”
Katy also talked about the concepts behind Teenage Dream — what her life was like while she wrote it and what she hoped to accomplish.
She confessed:
“I just wanted to tell a story about myself going through this journey, maybe sometimes trying to get out of the maze. There’s good parts, there’s bad parts. Of course, there have been a lot of things that went on last year that I had to get through and overcome. I think what probably kept me going is just the purity of my belief in music.”
We are so happy that Katy could turn her life around and get over Russel Brank quick!
We really hope that shes happy now with her new man.
