Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones To Take Over The Role To Present Daybreak
You may rember we have been talking about whos going to take over the role on ITV1 show Daybreak well know we know!!
We knew that Lorraine Kelly was going to be a prsenter on the show but we dint know who the man was going to be but now we do its going to be Aled Jones.
Lorraine said about getting the job:
I’m really looking forward to this challenge and to working with Aled who is a warm, funny and a thoroughly decent bloke and is already a good friend.
Following on ALED said:
I am so thrilled tobe joining ITV for their breakfast show. I am thoroughly looking forward to sharing the sofa every morning with such a consummate professional as Lorraine Kelly. We’ve known each other for a very long time and havealways had a lot of fun together. We hope that the viewers enjoy being part of our breakfast family.
So happy for the both of them they will do so well on the show.

The Times Up For ITV1′s Daybreak!!
Its been a show that has had difficulty even since it started to air two years ago.
But now TV bosses fears have come to fruition as it has been revealed Daybreak is to under go a massive shake-up, to the point of being unrecognisable by viewers.
But its not going to be the end of Daybreak as they are going to be going back to GMTV-style format that they originally thought needed revamping.
In 2010 ITV spent £10 million to make the new set from the GMTV set as they said it got to old!
a source told the Daily Mirror:
‘If anything this shows that GMTV wasn’t a failing formula and should never have been axed’.
We will miss Daybreak but we did like GMTV better that Daybreak we have to say.
Heedfully they will bring GMTV back!!
Gethin Jones Is Tipped To Present ITV`S Daybreak With Lorraine Kelly
- Welsh presenter Gethin Jones is tipped to present Itvs Daybreak With Lorraine Kelly.
Welsh presenter Gethin Jones might still be getting over his heartbreak of his recent split from fiancée, opera star Katherine Jenkins but it looks like he might have something to take his mind of it.
Gethin Jones is now on the brink of securing a plum role to join Lorraine Kelly as the new anchor on ITV breakfast show Daybreak – after seeing off stiff competition from leading newsreaders.
He has no journalistic or news experience, the former Blue Peter host has beaten off a string of presenters including current Daybreak host Dan Lobb.
The only other person who could host the show now is Channel 5 newsreader Matt Barbet.
Itv sources told Daily Mail:
‘Gethin screen tested with Lorraine last week and it went extremely well.
‘They had great chemistry and it seems like the job it’s all Gethin’s for the taking. Dan Lobb is now out of the picture.
‘ITV want to go with someone unexpected, who has a clear connection with Lorraine and is down to earth with the viewers.’

The show started in September of 2012 and took over from GMTV. It started with Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley presenting the show but they left when they joined after a big-money defection from BBC1’s The One Show last year.
We really hope that Gethin is going to be the host as he would do a great job with Lorraine.
