Morgan Freeman Donates $1 Million To Barack Obama’s Campaign
Morgan Freeman has gave a lovely $1 Million to Barack Obama’s Campaign.
In a statement explaining his charitable gift to the Democratic super PAC, Priorities USA Action, the Dark Knight Rises star said:
“He ended combat operations in Iraq, put in place sensible reforms of Wall Street, saved the auto industry and protected the health care of every American. He has led our nation to be more tolerant and placed impressive, accomplished women on the Supreme Court. In return, he is the target of hundreds of millions of dollars from right-wing sources. I am proud to lend my voice – and support – to those who defend him. Priorities USA Action is doing a great job of protecting the values I believe in. I am happy to help them and I hope others will join me.”
Freeman is not the first to donate such a large sum since Bill Mahergave the same figure, while DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has handed over $2 million, but we’re sure Democrats are hoping that he won’t be the last either.

Turner explains how he started CNN on the show:
I worked ’til 6 or 7 o’clock at night. By the time I got (home), the news was, the early news was over and I had to go to bed at 10 because I got up really early to go to work … I missed the 11 o’clock news. … So I, I never saw television news. And I knew there were a lot of people like me. I knew that if it was on all the time, like – and all news radio had already proven successful. So I figured, you know, if it worked on radio it would work on TV too.

Betty White’s 90th Birthday Tribute Is Going To Kick Ass!
NBC knows it, too, so they’re throwing her a 90th birthday tribute with pretty much every celebrity ever:
Ellen DeGeneres, Morgan Freeman, Tina Fey, Ray Romano, Seth Meyers and Tracy Morgan have joined the star-studded line-up including Carl Reiner, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Vicki Lawrence andJohn O’Hurley.
Oh, and Mary Tyler Moore and White’s Mary Tyler Moore co-stars Ed Asner, Valerie Harper and Gavin MacLeod, as well as Hugh Jackman,Carol Burnett, Jay Leno and Amy Poehler. Also, Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves will also be on hand to deliver birthday wishes along with Joel McHale and William Shatner.
They will be singing songs from her first appearance on radio in 1947, to her newest show Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, which is a prank show where old people play tricks on young people! Ha!
