After printing topless photos of Kate Middleton on the cover of French Closer magazine the owner of the mag has decided to take the naked photos off.
The editor of the magazine defended her decision to publish the photos but now the editor has said in a statement:
“Following comments received after the publication of photos of Kate and William in Closer magazine France, we would like to make the following clarifications: This is the French edition of Closer and not the English edition. The photos we chose are by no means degrading. They show a young couple on vacation, beautiful, in love, living a normal life. The article reports that the couple recently vacationed in the south of France.”
Kate and the rest of the royal family are really hacked off with the photos being printed but the harm has already been done.
But taking the photos off is not enough for the royals as in a new statement from the palace a rep has said:
“St. James’ Palace confirms that legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced today in France by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge against the publishers of Closer Magazine France.”
