Today would have been singers Amy Winehouse‘es 29th birthday!
Today marks an important day as the Amy Winehouse Foundation has marked its first year of being open.
The foundation was set up to help people with addition and help them come off drink and drugs.
In its first year of being open it’s raised over £232,000 with a target of donating £500,000 by the end of 2012.
Some of the money donated has gone to other charity’s like New Horizon Youth Centre, Fitzrovia Youth, The Pilion Trust – Crash Pad Shelter, London Irish Centre, Focus 12, MS Society, Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice, Hopes & Dreams, Little Havens Hospice and Chestnut Tree House Hospice.
